Layout Supervisor

Mount Pleasant, Vancouver, BC, Canada

Objective:

Layout supervison - set standards and conventions, vet layout and show setups, including 3PP/Vendors, QC incoming matchmoves and resolve technical issues.
Layout and blocking masters - master layouts, lidar and environments organization for outsource matchmove.
Matchmove - key shot or difficult matchmove setups or smaller matchmove tasks to vet workflow and standards.
Layout generalist shot work - creative camera moves and splits, background/minor animation.
Generalist shot work - miscellaneous lighting/rendering tasks.
Pipeline spec and workflow development - collaboration on software usage, workflows within, and automation goals.
Show planning and scheduling - work with production to strategize show and show layout schedules.

College level diploma or higher in computer graphics, fine arts, design, or photography, or related field; OR at least five years of relevant professional VFX experience in lieu of education.
Strong artistic eye and understanding of composition, staging and cinematography.
Demonstrates a strong skillset in troubleshooting pipeline issues.
Attention to detail, follow through and strong communication skills.
At least 5 years of relevant professional tv/film experience.
Must possess very strong organizational and communication skills and be able to handle a variety of tasks in an efficient manner while meeting deadlines.
Ability to juggle multiple projects, work with diverse personalities, and work within tight timelines.
