The Recruiter actively engages with and reaches out to potential candidates, building their network of candidates with current and future studio needs in mind.

  • As a key ambassador of our culture, source and engage industry talent to fill vacancies across all departments

  • Design and deliver creative solutions for talent attraction

  • Manage outreach for vacant positions including job postings, career events and student recruitment initiatives

  • Partner with our marketing team to ensure effective promotion of vacancies on social media

  • Build and maintain applicant tracking system with accuracy and ease-of-use in mind

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to determine and track key metrics

  • Manage our existing Employee Referral incentive program

  • Help create job posts and job ads; ensuring posts are accurate and in compliance with Service Canada requirements

  • Work with supervisors to review resumes and demo reels identify ideal candidates

  • Provide feedback on industry market trends and salary information

  • Coordinate & conduct candidate screening, interviews, reference checks and negotiations

  • Have a keen eye for detail pertaining to contract terms and conditions

  • Collaborate with the leadership, production and technology teams to ensure clear flow of information about incoming candidates

  • Welcome new team members to the studio on their first day, help with initial set-up and ensure a smooth onboarding process

Core Competencies:

  • Outgoing, energetic, engaging

  • Experience within HR or Recruitment in VFX or Gaming

  • Excellent communication skills & relationship building skills

  • Experienced in negotiating and discussing big-picture benefits with candidates

  • High level of attention to detail

  • Great time management and organizational skills.

  • Ability to be self-directed while collaborating well with the team.
